鳩山幸.

There’s a new Prime Minister in town and he goes by the name of 鳩山由紀夫 (Yukio Hatoyama to us simple folk). Yukio Hatoyama may seem like a normal Japanese Prime Minister-y type but his wife may be a touch strange. Miyuki Hatoyama, the new first lady of Japan, described her interests as picking vegetables, creating stained glass art and pottery…Oh and 20 years ago she was abducted by aliens, she described the incident in her seminal book Very Strange Things I’ve Encountered:

“While my body was asleep, I think my soul rode on a triangular-shaped UFO and went to Venus. It was a very beautiful place, and it was very green.”

For all of you who don’t believe her, here is a picture of Venus:

The Japanese first lady also knew Tom Cruise personally, in a past life when Tom Cruise was Japanese (If you are struggling to imagine a Japanese Tom Cruise just think of Tom Cruise’s virtuoso performance in The Last Samurai but with less beard and more cunt Scientology). She is hoping she will at some point soon make a Hollywood film with him:

“I believe he’d get it if I said to him, ‘Long time no see’, when we meet.”
